Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, In Our likeness, And let them rule over the fish of the sea And the birds of the air, Over the livestock, Over all the earth, And over all the creatures That move along the ground.”

Now the serpent was more crafty Than any of the wild Animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree Was good for food and pleasing, Pleasing to the eye And desirable for gaining wisdom, She took some and and she ate it And she gave some to her husband, Who was with her, And he ate it.

Therefore, just as sin entered the world Through one man, and death through sin, And in this way death came to all men, Because all sinned.

For just as through the disobedience Of the one man (Adam!) The many were made sinners, So also through the obedience Of the one Man (Jesus!) The many will be made righteous. Romans five nineteen.
